Ulbrich debuts app
Ulbrich Stainless Steels & Special Metals Inc., North Haven, Connecticut, has developed the Ulbrich Strip & Wire Surcharge App. With this mobile app, monthly strip and wire alloy surcharges are available in the palms of users’ hands. Customers and stakeholders can access the information they need to do their work more efficiently and engage with Ulbrich in new ways. This metal alloy application is the first of its kind designed to help manufacturers find and analyze historic data and real-time surcharges for strip and wire at multiple gauges.
Finisher acquires plating company
AOTCO Metal Finishing, Billerica, Massachusetts, has acquired Plating for Electronics (PFE), a provider of specialty anodizing, electroplating and laser marking services. Under the terms of the agreement, both AOTCO and Waltham, Massachusetts-based PFE will continue to operate in their respective locations, and the management and employees will remain in place. Customers will be able to leverage both companies’ capabilities and tap into their combined capacity and know-how.
NSPS orders roller leveler
Pacesetter Steel ordered a G3DC cassette-style precision roller leveler with patented AutoSync drive and patented roll cleaning system from Machine Concepts, Minster, Ohio. The equipment will be installed at the NSPS warehouse in Houston. This is Pacesetter’s second Machine Concepts precision roller leveler.
